A century ago, Italian missionaries from the West came to
India and introduced Don Bosco to India. Thanks to their
indomitable and profound love for Don Bosco, today we are
in a state wherein we are moving out to spread Don Bosco
and his works. As part of this outgoing generosity, our
latest batch of confreres going overseas to help out in
the Italian province of Ligure-Toscano, left for Italy on
the 12th of September 2007. Cl. Gali Naresh and Cl. Neelam
Ratna, at last succeeded in taking off to take up their
new assignment on Italian soil. They will be assigned to a
house each in the Italian province of Ligure-Toscano. They
form the third group of confreres moving abroad for their
practical training and subsequent further studies.
Boarding their flight to Florence, in the wee hours of
Wednesday morning, they were seen off by the
Vice-Provincial, Fr Raminedi Balaraju and quite a few of
their dear ones who had come to see them off. Hopefully
the joy of having succeeded at last, in spite of and
through the many hurdles of securing a visa, would stand
in good stead to these young brave confreres as they take
on their apostolate in a new place. Accompanying them
both, was Cl. Yandava Kalyan who would begin his
Theological studies at Croceta, Turin. According to last
confirmed reports, they reached their destination, safe
and sound the same day. Let us support them with our
prayers and wishes as they continue their Salesian mission
in a foreign land. You can mail and convey your wishes to
