Oh yes, the Dreamer must have been really pleased. The skies held out as we got ready for the inauguration of the first programme of Bosco Academy for Skills and Employment with Ministry of Rural Development in the Province of St. Joseph`s, Hyderabad. The hall was packed to capacity. The function was cruising along smoothly when the Father of Youth decided to let us know that his dreams for the young of this locality were truly being realised. Fr Raminedi Balaraju, the Provincial and the whole province was shocked to hear sad news of the sudden demise of Most Rev. Marampudi Joji D.D, the Arch Bishop of Hyderabad, a great friend of Salesians. We pay homage with profound gratitude and deep sorrow. A half-day Philosophical symposium on Ecology and the role of different religions, especially Christianity, in the preservation of the Nature, was organized at St John`s Regional Seminary, Kondadaba on August 27, 2010. The first major collective outreach programme for the neighbourhood, directed specifically towards the children, was held at St John`s Regional Seminary, Kondadaba on August 22, 2010. Titled `Irugu Porugu` (immediate neighbourhood), the animation for the day witnessed 580 children, from 21 villages to which Seminarians visit every weekend, actively participate in the several activities of the programme.
