News in General, Salesian Family, Vocation Fr Thathireddy Vijaya Bhasker was installed as the Rector of Provincial House for a period of 3 years (2010-13)on 26th May, 2010 by Fr Raminedi Balaraju, the Provincial. The ceremony was integrated with the Holy Mass presided over by Fr Provincial. The domestic staff and the whole Salesian community was present for the ceremony. The ceremony was well-planned and done in a graceful manner. News in General, Appointments The newly elected Vice-Provincial of the Salesian Province of Hyderabad, Fr Thathireddy Vijayabhaskar officially took charge as the 6th Vice-Provincial of the Province during a Holy Eucharist on May 18, 2010. Present for this simple taking over ceremony were the council members and a couple of confreres of the Provincial house. News in General, Formation, Vocation After the regional vocation camps in various parts of Andhra Pradesh, the final vocation camp commenced at Don Bosco, Gunadala on 11th May 2010. It was fittingly inaugurated by Rev. Fr Louis on 12th during the Holy Eucharist. In the homily, he stressed about the role of Mary in the life of Don Bosco. All in all, thirty six boys have come for the camp; those got selected in the regional camps and those who could not make up for the regional camps. News in General Finally the last list of transfers for the Salesian Province of Hyderabad is out. In the latest circular, the Provincial, Fr Raminedi Balaraju announces the appointment of Rectors to the 12 communities of the Province, after the approval of the Rector Major. Of these, Fr Chowaran Tom, Fr Putti Anthaiah, Fr Thathireddy and Fr Miriyala Kishore are first time Rectors. Frs EJ Mathew, Pandi and Jose Abraham take up the role of animators after a gap of couple of years. It was the ordination of Mattukoyya Mariadas, a Salesian of Don Bosco. It was a moment of gratitude to God as the long awaited dream was realized. A journey of fifteen long years - lengthened by ailment and anxiety - was blessed abundantly as the God raised one of the sons of the soil to His Altars.
